Welcome to the Cheltenham Scottish Society website

The Society exists to promote good fellowship amongst its members, to encourage the study and apprecation of Scottish history and literature, and to preserve Scottish folklore, music and song, dancing and traditions.

Throughout the year the Society organises a number of meetings and social gatherings including a Ceilidh, a St Andrew's Day Dinner, a Hogmanay Party, a Burns Supper, a Spring Dance, an End-of-Season Dance and other events.  The Events page gives more more information, with a programme and ticket information for the Spring Dance on 25 February 2012.

The Society has an active Scottish Country Dancing Section which meets on Friday evenings in the Montpelier Hall, St Andrews United Reformed Church, Cheltenham.  The Scottish Dancing page gives details.
